An angle has three parts: an initial ray & a terminal ray.
I assume that you are already familiar with the degree measure of an angle. *It is common practice to use (the Greek lowercase theta - ) to represent both an angle and its measure.*
An angle is positive if it is generated by rotating the terminal side counterclockwise from the initial side. An angle is negative if it is ge
nerated by rotating the terminal side clockwise from the initial side.
Eg: One positive coterminal angles of 120° is 120° + 360° = 480°
One negative coterminal angles of 120° is 120° – 360° = -240°
How to convert Degrees to Radians: Multiply by π/180
Eg: 90° (π/180) = π/2
How to convert Radians to Degrees: Multiply by 180/π
Eg: π/3 (180/π) = 60°
